Daily thresholds
are the number of hours that an employee must work in a single
working day at one rate of pay before a different rate of pay
applies. A typical example of a daily threshold is where an employee
must work for 4 hours at an overtime rate of 1.5 (time and a half)
before they can accumulate overtime pay at a rate of 2.0 (double
time).
Thresholds
override the standard payment structures defined by the timebands
that make up the work pattern for each day.
Daily thresholds
are applied to individual timebands on the
Timeband Thresholds
screen.
Note: You
must make sure that you apply the threshold to the correct timeband
in the appropriate work pattern.
To maintain
thresholds for a week or another span of days, use the
Weekly Thresholds screen.
