How do I create a new column for a line in an interface layout?

Each line consists of one or more column of data. Use this tab to define columns.

1. Highlight the required interface layout in the Interface Layouts list.

2. Highlight the required line on the Lines tab.

3. Select the Columns tab. The interface layout name will be displayed in Code and the line name in Line.

4. Click New.

5. Enter a unique Column Number. This indicates the position of the column relative to other columns in the interface layout. Column numbers do not have to be consecutive.

6. In the Description field, enter a description for the line. This can be up to 20 characters.

7. Select the Column Type.

8. Constant Value is only applicable if the column type is Constant or Special. This can be up to 20 characters.

9. Enter the required Data Format. This can be up to 10 characters.

10. Variable Type is only applicable if the column type is Variable or List. Select Decimal or Hours.

11. Click Save. You can then repeat the process to enter further columns or move to the Details tab to add details associated with this line and column.
