How do I create a new line for an interface layout?

1. Highlight the required interface layout in the Interface Layouts list. The interface layout name will be displayed in Code.

2. Click New.

3. Enter a unique Line Number. This indicates the position of the line relative to other lines in the interface layout. We recommend starting out with line numbers in increments of 5 or 10, which allows you to insert lines later without having to renumber all the following lines. Line numbers do not have to be consecutive.

4. In the Description field, enter a description for the line. This can be up to 20 characters.

5. Select the Line Type (Code, Day or Period).

6. (Optional) If you want the lines to be separated, enter a Separator character (e.g. a comma).

7. Click Save. You can then repeat the process to enter further lines or move to the Columns tab to create columns associated with this line.

To copy a single line, click Copy on the Lines tab. This will copy the line and any associated columns.
