Analysis Categories are used to
group together Analysis Codes to make interpretation easier. For
example, all Analysis Codes relating to absence can be grouped
together, and all codes relating to payments can be grouped
separately.
Analysis Categories must be
created before any Analysis Codes that are going to be assigned to
them.
How do I create a new analysis
category?

Select Analysis Categories
from
the menu.
Existing Analysis Categories
are listed on the left-hand side of the screen, in the
Analysis Categories box.

Click New.

In the Category field, enter a
unique code for the category. This can be up to 6 characters,
and can be a mix of letters and numbers.

In the Description field, enter a
description for the category. This can be up to 30 characters.

(Optional)
You can set a Default
Colour to identify this code on the timesheet. Click
Colour to display a popup where you can select the required
colour.

If you have defined reason codes
(on the Reason Codes screen)
select one or more of them from the Reason Code Select List
to associate them with the selected analysis category.

Click Save. The new category is
displayed in the Analysis Categories box on the left-hand side
of the screen.
How do I edit an existing analysis
category?
Only the description associated with
an analysis category can be changed.

Select Analysis Categories
from
the menu.
Existing Analysis Categories
are listed on the left-hand side of the screen, in the
Analysis Categories box.

Select the Analysis category that you want to edit.

Make the necessary changes to the Description,
Default
Colour and/or
the Reason Code Select List.

Click Save.
How do I delete an existing analysis
category?
An analysis category can only be
deleted if there are no analysis codes associated with it.

Select Analysis Categories
from
the menu.
Existing Analysis Categories
are listed on the left-hand side of the screen, in the
Analysis Categories box.

Select the Analysis category that you want to delete.

Click Delete.

You
are asked to confirm that you want to delete the category. Click
Yes if you want to continue with the deletion. Otherwise,
click No.

If there are no analysis codes
associated with the category, it is deleted. You will see a
green confirmation message, and the category is no longer
displayed in the Analysis Categories box on the left-hand
side of the screen.

If there are analysis codes
associated with the category, it is not deleted. You will see a
red message telling you that the category is being used by an
analysis code.
